TOP 3 CHOICE

Over the past 5 years, 94% of our students were accepted to one of their top three school choices.

Including Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, UPenn, Dartmouth, Cornell, Brown, Stanford, MIT, and more.

Each roadmap and plan is highly individualized for every student we work with. This includes skill level and interest and thus varies greatly depending on the student’s age. Students who are proactive about starting in middle school or early in high school have more time to identify their interests — as demonstrated by Jack, in our case study below.

Jack’s Mentor Says

Jesse M - Senior Mentor

“Jack really grew as he explored his interest over the time we worked together. I encouraged him to let his natural curiosity guide him, and it brought him from questions about flooding to an environmental internship and a university that fits him perfectly.”
– Jesse

Jack’s Story

Jack was a ninth grader attending a private school in Naples when he started working with Command Education. Although he had joined his high school’s Environmental Science club in eighth grade, he was otherwise uninvolved in his school community and unsure of his interests. His mentor, Jesse, emphasized the importance of honing in on one or two key interests and developing his skills to make an impact on his community. After a tropical storm hit the coast in his town, Sam and Jesse explored ways to address coastal flooding. Sam learned that restoring Florida’s natural infrastructure can be both cheaper and more effective than building structural flood protection systems and started volunteering for the Conservancy of Southwest Florida.

During his sophomore year, Sam continued to explore his interest in conservation, continuing to volunteer for the conservancy, enrolling in advanced science and math courses at his private school, and attending an environmental engineering academy over the summer. He started working with a Command Education ACT tutor, and improved his score from a 31 to a 35. The following year, Sam became President of his Environmental Science Club and spearheaded an initiative to lobby for the continued funding of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP). He also initiated a partnership enabling his peers to volunteer for the conservancy on a weekly basis.

The following summer, Jesse helped Sam to obtain an internship with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s legal department, where he learned to draft policies aimed at protecting our coastal waterways. Sam is currently attending Yale University, where he is majoring in Environmental Studies.
